CROOKSTON ARTIST SERIES--Bending the Bows--Monday, April 20 at 7:30 p.m. Performance will take place in the Crookston High School Auditorium. An uproariously funny show that could make Charlie Chaplin laugh and give Victor Borge the giggles! Violinist Eduard Minevich and fiddler Frank Leahy battle it out in a side-splitting comical performance which sweeps the spectrum of musical styles--country, folk, gypsy, traditional, jazz, swing, and classical. A delightful and at times whimsical blending of seemingly incompatible worlds--from Grand Ol' Opry to Carnegie Hall, from Paris, France to Paris, Texas, from Moscow, Russia to Moscow, Idaho. There's musical entertainment aplenty in this whirlwind program of dueling fiddles. An ever-surprising mingling of Country and Classical--truly gopher baroque. Bending the Bows is comic musical theater at its tickle-the-funnybone best, with a rich diet of humor, drama, story, banter, and musical virtuosity. 7 FREE tickets are still available at the Bede Info Desk. Sponsored by Concerts and Lectures.
